Many of my clients look for places to sell their handmade products and haven’t heard about Etsy.

Whether its jewellery, clay pots or crochets, Etsy is a great and innovative site to sell your art and products.

Etsy’s mission is “to empower people to change the way the global economy works. We see a world in which very-very small businesses have much-much more sway in shaping the economy, local living economies are thriving everywhere, and people value authorship and provenance as much as price and convenience. We are bringing heart to commerce and making the world more fair, more sustainable, and more fun.”

The site focuses on authorship, helps visitors discover new and unique products, allows artists and clients to connect and of course provides great tools to buy and sell products.

It costs 20 cents to list an item for four months. When your item sells, you’ll pay a 3.5% transaction fee. Visit Etsy’s fees section to learn more.

When you set up your shop, you can customize your shop with a banner, profile, shop policies and more. One of the great features of Etsy is that it is integrated into Pinterest. If you search through various search categories on Pinterest, you will find out that the Gifts section takes visitors to Etsy which gives sellers a greater exposure.
